Straight answers before you call.
Everything people ask before they hire 12², in one place: prices, payment, ownership, timelines and what the AI will and won't do.
Fifteen questions, answered.
What does 12² AI do?
12² AI builds custom AI tools and automations for small and mid-sized businesses: software that answers calls, books appointments, builds reports and handles paperwork, so your team spends less time on repetitive work.
Who runs 12²?
William Addis, a sole proprietor. Your agreement is with him. See About.
Where do you work?
Remotely, with businesses across the United States.
How do I start?
Send a few lines about where your work slows down. After a free 20-minute call, most projects start with a Bottleneck Map: two weeks that end in a written blueprint with a fixed price for each build phase.
What does a custom build cost?
A Proof build is $3,500, a Core build $9,500 and a Product build $18,000–$28,000. An AI front desk starts at $6,500 + $650 a month. Every tier is on the pricing page.
How does payment work?
50% at kickoff and 50% on acceptance. The second 50% isn't due until the test cases agreed in writing pass.
What is not included in the price?
AI, phone and software usage, billed at cost and estimated in writing in your proposal.
Who owns what you build?
You do. Source code, accounts, data and prompts sit in your name, with a written list of every provider that touches your data.
How long does it take?
The Bottleneck Map takes two weeks. For a Core build or a Product build, the timeline is set for your project and written into your quote before work starts.
Do you guarantee revenue?
No. Nobody outside your business controls your sales. 12² guarantees what it controls: the second payment waits until the agreed tests pass, and a free Run & Improve month if the agreed metric misses its target.
Will the AI say something wrong to my customers?
Each tool is limited to what you've approved, such as your services, prices and policies. Anything outside that goes to a person on your side. Conversations are logged so you can review them.
Will we have to replace our current software?
Usually not. Most of the work is connecting the tools you already pay for and removing the re-typing between them.
What happens to our data?
It stays in accounts you own. Before the build starts you get a written list of every AI and software provider that would touch it.
Can you show client results?
One so far, and 12² won't invent more. Role capture describes a client engagement, with the client's name withheld at their request.
Are Fieldcam, HailScan and Codes&More part of a custom build?
No. They are 12²'s own separate products, each with its own site and its own subscription, each Powered by 12squared AI Suite.
