12² AI (12squared.ai) — Terms of Service

Effective date: October 26, 2026

12² AI is a service operated by William Addis, an individual and sole proprietor. It is not a corporation or limited liability company. In this document, "we" and "us" mean William Addis. These Terms govern your use of 12squared.ai, its demos and games, the 12² account hub, and any product you reach through a 12² account (the "Service"). Fieldcam, HailScan and Codes&More each also have their own terms, which apply to your use of those products.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using the Service, submitting a form or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, submit an inquiry or buy anything. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

2. Demos, games and sample content

Demos on 12squared.ai run on sample data and are provided for evaluation only. Some demos and games save progress only in your own browser. Do not enter real personal, financial or confidential information into a demo. Demo and AI-generated output is not professional, engineering, legal or code-compliance advice.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your credentials, for all activity under your account, for giving accurate information, and for having authority over any organization you sign up for.

4. Inquiries and custom work

Submitting an inquiry does not create a contract. Custom software work is governed only by a separate written agreement or quote signed by both parties. That agreement controls over these Terms for that work.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service illegally;
• upload malicious code;
• attempt unauthorized access;
• interfere with or overload the Service;
• scrape it at excessive rates;
• reverse engineer it;
• submit spam or automated inquiries.

6. Payments

Paid subscriptions bought through a 12² account are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals.

• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods or pre-paid unused subscription time, except where required by law.
• You are responsible for applicable taxes.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, software and branding belong to us. You keep the rights to content you submit. You grant us a license to use it only to provide the Service and respond to you.

8. Availability

We make no guarantees regarding uptime or availability. We may change or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, fraud or non-payment, or with 30 days' notice for any reason. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE LESSER OF (A) $1,000 USD OR (B) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the Service, your content or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Henry County, Illinois, or in the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois (Rock Island Division), and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing limits any non-waivable consumer rights under the law of your place of residence.

14. General

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about the Service, except any separate signed agreement under section 4. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. If we change these Terms we will update the effective date above.
