A fundraiser photo mosaic that shows who took part
A picture of your cause, built from the faces of the people behind it. It is a way to thank and show supporters. It is not a way to take money.
What it does, and what it does not
A mosaic page gathers photos and short messages and turns them into one picture. It has no donate button, takes no payments from supporters and keeps no record of who gave what. Donations stay on whatever giving page or collection you already use.
Treat the two as a pair. Your appeal asks people to give; the mosaic lets everyone who took part, in any way, be seen.
The picture to form
Your emblem is the natural choice: a logo, a ribbon, a mascot, the event's number or name in large letters. Simple shapes in strong colours hold up best.
A photo of what the money is for also works, such as the hall being repaired or the minibus being replaced. Be careful with photos of the people you are raising money for, and do not use one without their clear agreement.
Inviting supporters
Mention the mosaic in the places you already speak to supporters: the thank-you email, the newsletter, the sign-up confirmation for a walk or a bake sale. Volunteers and people who came along belong in it as much as donors.
Wording: "Thank you for being part of this. Add your photo to our supporter picture. It is free, takes a minute and needs no account." Never make a photo a condition of giving, and never suggest that giving is needed to add one.
Matching the page to the campaign
A free page takes photos for 30 days, which fits a single event or a one-month appeal. Open it on the day the appeal starts.
For a longer campaign, unlocking costs $19 and gives 90 days of uploads from the day you pay, with further 90-day extensions at $5 each. That money pays for the page. None of it goes to your cause, so do not describe it to supporters as a donation.
At the event and afterwards
Show the page on a screen at the finish line, the gala or the open day. Afterwards, an unlocked page lets you download the picture to print for the building or to send round with the final total.
The usual mistake
Calling it a donor wall. It shows the people who chose to add a photo, which is not the same list as the people who gave. Call it a supporter picture, and nobody feels left out or ranked.
Questions
Does the mosaic page collect donations?
No. It collects photos and messages only. There is no donate button and we do not process donations or pass money to any cause. Keep taking donations through your own giving page.
Is it free for a charity or community group?
Making and sharing a page is free for everyone, for 30 days and up to 500 photos. The print-ready download and slideshow cost $19 once. There is no separate charity rate.
Can we use our logo as the picture?
Yes, if it is yours to use. Pick the simplest version, with thick shapes and a solid background. Small lettering will not be readable at 40 by 50 tiles.
Can we show the people or animals the fundraiser helps?
Only with clear agreement from the people concerned, and from parents or guardians where children are involved. Whoever adds a photo confirms they have the right to share it. If in doubt, leave it out and use the emblem.
Free to make and share. No account for you or for the people who add photos.
